Introduction

This privacy policy provides you with details of how your personal data is collected and processed through your use of the website wendyjwoodcock.com (the Site).

The Site’s data controller is Wendy J Woodcock, responsible for deciding how the Site holds and uses personal information about you.  The Site is required to notify you of the information contained in this privacy policy, to comply with data protection legislation and best practice.

Your privacy is taken seriously, and the Site will never sell, disclose, or share your private, confidential, and personally identifiable information, with third parties. The Site uses reasonable data security measures to protect all content and Site material.

If you are contacted with news, information, and items of interest, an unsubscribe option will always be included. If you contact the Site via Facebook Messaging and wish to unsubscribe, send a Facebook message, “stop”.

Any affiliate links used by the Site are only to things the data controller has tried and recommends. Even though some monies may be earned if you click on the links, the Site has not been set up to deceive or exploit you.

This policy sets out your rights under applicable data protection laws as well as the Site’s commitment to you regarding how your data is treated. 

WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED ABOUT YOU, FOR WHAT PURPOSE AND ON WHAT GROUND IS IT PROCESSED?

We process this data to supply the goods and/or services you have purchased and to keep records of such transactions. The Site’s lawful ground for this processing is the performance of a contract between you and the Site and/or taking steps at your request to enter into such a contract.

User Data includes data about how you use the Site and any online services together with any data that you post for publication on the Site or through other online services. This data is processed to operate the Site and ensure relevant content is provided to you, to ensure the security of the Site, to maintain back-ups of the Site and/or databases and to enable publication and administration of the Site, other online services and business. The Site’s lawful ground for this processing is legitimate interests, which are to grow the business. The data controller may also use such data to send other marketing communications to you. The Site’s lawful ground for this processing is either consent or legitimate interests (namely to grow the business).

Sensitive Data. The Site does not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data. The Site does not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Where the data controller is required to collect personal data by law, and you do not provide that data when requested, the Site may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver goods or services to you). If you don’t provide the requested data, the product or service you have ordered may have to be cancelled, but if this is the case, you will be notified at the time.

Your personal data will only be used for a purpose it was collected for or a reasonably compatible purpose if necessary. In case there is a need to use your details for an unrelated new purpose, the data controller will let you know and explain the legal grounds for processing.

The Site does not carry out automated decision making or any automated profiling.

Children’s Privacy. The Site may be directed at or intended for children and/or any underage persons. As such, the Site will not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age without the prior, verifiable consent of a parent or legal representative. Website visitors may be asked to provide their date of birth or a parent’s email address as a verification mechanism. If the data controller becomes aware that a child has posted any personal information on the Site, they will remove the content.

The Site’s lawful ground of processing your personal data to send you marketing communications is either your consent or the Site’s legitimate interests (namely to grow the business).

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, you may be sent marketing communications if (i) you made a purchase or asked for information about goods or services or (ii) you agreed to receive marketing communications and in each case, you have not opted out of receiving such communications since. You can still opt-out of receiving marketing emails at any time.
